Europe-South East Asia Symposium on Dengue

Two-day workshop
Organised by the SEA-EU-NET


The workshop will bring together experts on Dengue fever to identify opportunities for collaboration and form consortia to bid into upcoming EU Seventh Framework Programme for Research funding calls.
 
The workshop will build upon the strong research capacity which already exists in both Europe and South East Asia (SEA), taking an integrated approach to R&D, and focusing on the comprehensive control of dengue fever, especially under changing climatic conditions.

The workshop will develop a co-ordinated and joint approach between researchers from different disciplines to develop innovative tools for the prevention, clinical diagnosis and management, and surveillance of the diseases.

Programme

Day 1: Presentations of latest research by speakers from EU and SEA.Open to the public (150 attendees expected).

Day 2: Round table discussion to identify those keen to collaborate and to form a consortia.
