Visit Rothamsted Research

Rothamsted Research, the oldest agriculture research centre in the world, is opening its doors to the public on May 22-23 for an open weekend event.

Rothamsted supports sustainable agriculture and the environment and ranges from the molecular level to ecosystem and landscape studies. The centre focuses on global challenges including food security, adaptation to climate change and environmental protection in support of sustainable agriculture.

The open weekend is a chance to:

  • Visit our world class laboratories
  • Meet the scientists
  • Explore the Rothamsted estate
