EPSRC Leadership Fellowships 2011

Closing date: 11 August 2010

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Leadership Fellowships provide support for talented researchers with the most potential to develop into international research leaders who can set and drive new research agendas, by the end of the award.

It is anticipated that up to 50 Fellowships will be awarded. The actual numbers of each type of fellowship awarded will also depend on the quality of the proposals received and the level of resources requested.

There are no nationality restrictions for this scheme.

Up to five years funding is available.

To be eligible to apply for the Leadership Fellowship scheme you must currently hold a permanent academic post at an eligible host organisation.

Leadership Fellowships are offered across the whole of the EPSRC remit. Applications which make a clear and significant contribution to the aims of the Global Uncertainties (GU) Programme are particularly encouraged.

Leadership Fellowships are highly sought after awards, and as such the competition is intense. On average, each year 250 applications are received for approximately 20 Leadership Fellowship awards.
