Population, Reproductive Health, and Economic Development
Call for Preliminary Proposals focusing on:
- The impact of reproductive health on women’s economic empowerment, particularly as measured by economic outcomes at the household and individual levels.
- Relationships between reproductive health/family planning (including population policies and dynamics) and macroeconomic outcomes in countries.
This call is a joint initiative of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC, UK), NWO-WOTRO Science for Global Development (the Netherlands, NL), the Research Council of Norway (RCN) and the Population Reference Bureau (PRB, USA) (coordinators) in collaboration with the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation (Hewlett, USA). It follows on previous bilateral calls these funders have developed separately and co-funded with the Hewlett Foundation.
