UK-US New Partnership Fund

Closing date: 31 October 2010

PM12 Connect invites proposals from UK and US higher education institutions to develop partnerships.

PM12 Connect - part of The Prime Minister's Initiative for International Education -  works with governments, policy makers and HEIs to bring people together to address common education and research challenges through dialogues and the building of strong partnerships and alliances.

Funds are intended to stimulate the growth of a new variety of UK-US strategic partnerships between HEIs or for the growing of UK-US cooperation involving HEIs in third countries.

Up to 20 projects with a a maximum value of £20,000 per project will be funded in 2010 to 2011.

There are two strands for which proposals are welcome: Strategic partnerships which encompass a range of collaborative activities between the UK and UK; and Multi-Country Partnerships designed to stimulate the development of new partnerships between UK and US HEIs that involve another country.

Priority will be given to science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medical science disciplines, however the UK-US New Partnership Fund Committee will also welcome proposals that introduce innovative, including inter-disciplinary, approaches.
