DFID Systematic Review Competition Winners Announced

The winning bids for the Department for International Development (DFID) systematic review pilot have been announced.

Review teams from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Development Network Africa, the Center for Microfinance (India) and others around the world have been commission to undertake systematic reviews in internatinal development as part of a project to strengthen evidence-informed decision making.

Teams will cover a wide breadth of topics from performance-based financing to anti-corruption to vouchers for health and education.  Some will use strong quantitative approaches to inform DFID about the magnitude and direction of change, others with a qualitative focus explore why an intervention works or not. Other teams still are attempting a mixed-method approach.

Final reviews are expected by the end of the year.

DFID will shortly be making the call for Round II Systematic Reviews.
