New independent journal on cross-cutting agricultural issues

Cover of World AgricultureA new agricultural journal aims to guide policy makers and practitioners worldwide.

World Agriculture
is a peer-reviewed journal which aims to explore scientific, economic and social evidence concerning agriculture and its interaction with forestry, climate change, population growth, migration, disease and ecology.

Launched in London on 1 April, the multi-disciplinary journal will cover issues such as how to support agricultural productivity of developing countries; how to increase agricultural production without increasing fossil fuel use and the role of biofuels in improving the world's carbon balance.

Chairman of the Editorial Board, Professor Sir Colin Spedding, says the non-profit journal will provide policy makers and advisors, particularly in developing countries, with unbiased assessments of the impact of new technology, population and climate change on the development of world agriculture.

World Agriculture is published by Wharncliffe Publishing, UK, and is available online at www.world-agriculture.net.
