Low carbon energy group

Created in 2009, the ad-hoc low carbon energy group aims to improve collaboration and coordination amongst members who have an interest in research on low carbon energy and technology.

The group was established to:

  • Gain an insight in to the low carbon energy activities of UKCDS members – past, present, future
  • Explore if there are gaps in current research or if there is demand for a specific type of research
  • Find out if any of the UK focused work is applicable to international development
  • Encourage greater collaboration between councils and departments on low carbon energy research

Who's involved

  • DFID
  • EPSRC
  • DECC
  • Wellcome Trust
  • BBSRC
