Our work

Dictionary definition of the word research

Policies on how to distribute funding for research are continually evolving.

UKCDS is looking to improve the way development science funding is administered — ensuring that development is a priority for funders, and that research is funded in a way that maximises its impact on development.

Our current focus includes:

Ensuring research assessment recognises and rewards research relevant to development
Helping members share good practice about encouraging the use of research in policy and practice
Enhancing the process of collaboration between members and other funders.
