This is the report of the workshop on Improving the impact of development research through better communication and uptake, which was co‐hosted by AusAID, DFID and UKCDS on November 29th and 30th in London and involved 80 participants from across the globe. Several of the presentations and related materials can be found at www.researchtoaction.org.

This report summarises the written outputs from the workshop and should be read in conjunction with the background paper (PDF 435KB).

The workshop was a mixture of keynote presentations, panel and plenary sessions, networking events, a world café and group work. A‘marketplace’ showcased some current best practices in research communication and gave all participants the opportunity to learn of new approaches and techniques.
