Science and Innovation Network (SIN)

SIN is a network of more than 95 science and innovation officers based in UK Embassies, High Commissions and Consulates in 23 countries around the world.

SIN works to facilitate international collaboration in science and innovation involving UK partners.

For example, SIN in India organises research lectures by visiting UK academics, publishes news of collaborative UK-India funding schemes and runs a scholarship programme for Indian science and innovation professionals to study in the UK.

The network is jointly managed by UKCDS members the Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). It works closely with the Department for International Development (DFID), Research Councils UK (RCUK) and the British Council.
